Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Fight Hard 5k - In Loving Memory of Laurie Butler. The race is organized by the Cockburn / Butler family in memory of Laurie who fought a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.
Anyone looking for a fun 5k to run / walk, this one is it. The race course starts and ends at Edwards Field and spans throughout the neighborhoods off of Jordan Avenue. The female course record was set in 2012 and the male course record was set in 2014. Will there be a new course record set this year?
The race will be held on Sunday, August 11. Make sure to register early. The first 150 pre-registered runners receive a t-shirt. For more information or to register click here.
Fight Hard 5k is a non-profit group with all net proceeds to benefit the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation. Since 2012, Fight Hard 5k has donated over $60,000 to DSCF. Thank you Cockburn / Butler family for all the love and hard work you put into this event!
