May brings two of the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation's major fundraising events for the year. The 7th Annual Fiesta featuring The Hurricanes will be held on May 4 at the Brunswick Golf Club. This is a night of music from The Hurricanes and includes a taco bar dinner, 50/50 raffle and live auction items. Last year this event raised over $7500. May 18 we return to the Brunswick Golf Club for the 10th Annual Golf Tournament. This event just keeps getting bigger. Last year we saw over 115 golfers and with their help raised over $20,000. The tournament is played in normal scramble format and prizes are awarded for net, gross, closest to pin, and hole in one. Throughout the day there is a $5000 putting contest, a casino hole and a 50/50 raffle. A day of golf (including cart) and food is included for all participating golfers. Thank you to New England Cancer Specialists and First Federal Savings for continuing to be Title Sponsors for the Annual Golf Tournament. This year we have hit maximum capacity for golf teams. If interested, you can be added to the waitlist in the likelihood that a team is unable to attend.
